Shingirai Taodzera

Shingirai Taodzera is a political scientist, international development specialist, and PhD candidate in international development at the University of Ottawa.

His research explores the political economy of the new oil industry in East Africa. Shingirai holds B.A. and M.A degrees in international relations from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a first class M.A in political science from Dalhousie University. His research interests broadly include sub-Saharan Africa’s post-colonial state-building, international political economy, and the management of extractive natural resources. He also conducts freelance research, analysis, and country monitoring work for a U.K.-based consulting company.
