Shruti Samala ’21

Shruti Samala originates from Hyderabad, India and has lived in several countries across Asia. She decided to come to the opposite end of the globe to study at Wellesley, with the goal of majoring in Psychology.

She is passionate about understanding the complexities and nuances of human nature and hopes to become a clinical psychologist in order to discern why people behave the way they do. Outside of academics, she is interested in human rights, diversity inclusion and gender based violence and has volunteered as a research assistant for Association of Women for Action and Research in Singapore as well as Amnesty International.
