Chandel Charles ’13

I am a senior at Wellesley majoring in both Political Science and American History.

I'm from Columbus, Ohio and am an avid Buckeye football fan. I applied to the Freedom Project because I believe that freedom is an important concept, and understanding its manifestations in a variety of contexts is an important academic journey to undertake. I hope to research the impact of the struggle between individual freedom and community benefit through careful consideration of Supreme Court cases dealing with these tensions in our society on issues such as freedom of speech, reproductive rights and the recent Healthcare mandate.
