Kaila Webb ’20

Originally from Fresno, California, Kaila is currently double majoring in Chinese and Environmental Science to work on international environmental policy. She is student co-director of The Freedom Project.

Growing up in an agricultural community, Kaila experienced problems with poorly planned policy first hand. As a young adult, this had lead her to work in leadership positions with the hopes of one day affecting said policies. She currently serves as the President of the Wellesley College Republicans, and Lecture Head for Wellesley’s American Enterprise Institute’s Executive Council. After serving as an Adam Smith Fellow for the 2016-17 academic year, she came to appreciate the quality of ideas that arises from healthy academic discourse. Thus, she dedicates time as a Student Co-Director of The Freedom Project with the hopes to help preserve Wellesley’s long tradition of intellectualism.
