I first became interested in the role of government in influencing the behavior of its citizens when my mom spoke of living during the Cultural Revolution in the 60's. I joined the Freedom Project at Wellesley because I believe in an intellectual space where multiple interpretations of ideas can exist as I pursue what Freedom is and why it is important to a political society. My intended research is on public opinion and reaction on the war on Terrorism post 9/11 and the tradeoff between civil liberties and protectionism from the government in comparison with public opinion after revealing leaks on the National Security Administration under Obama's term as president.
